signum
Author: Marian Olejar, Jr. Created: Dec/11/2006 Last edit: Dec/11/2006

    group theory:
    The signum `alpha` can be defined as `sgn(alpha) = (-1)^(n-t)` where `alpha in S_n`, `S_n` is symmetric group, `alpha = beta_1 ... beta_t` (n, t `in NN`) is a complete factorization into disjoint cycles.

    For every 1-cycle `beta`, sgn(`beta`)=1.
